The first trailer for Aquaman dropped during Comic-Con on Saturday, featuring everyone's favorite fish-based superhero.

The trailer digs into the origins of Aquaman with a scene of him as a child (who at that point had the name Arthur Curry) being bullied by some older kids in an aquarium who then back off when an actual shark stands up for Arthur. It looks like after whatever (hopefully succinct) origin DC has cooked up, we get into a whole bunch of super-powered action, some stuff about Aquaman being king of Atlantis, and a whole lot of sea creatures.

Just what we expected.

Aquaman dives into theaters Dec. 21.
