Ah, Stay Puft. This iconic villain made its first epic appearance during the 1984 release of Ghostbusters. While some filmmakers thought the Marshmallow Man was too silly to be part of the climax of the movie, the unexpected choice was actually a hit with the audience.

This Art of the Scene episode from CineFix digs into how Stay Puft was created. From the 1/18th scale custom set, to the cables used to operate its facial expressions, the visual effects masters had to be extremely creative to achieve the magic you seen on screen.
