Disney's live-action amusement park experience called "Pandora: The World of Avatar," which promises to deliver some of the magic of the Avatar film, was previewed on Sunday, and the sample is stunning.

The installation, which will be housed at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, includes characters from James Cameron's blockbuster film, including the blue Na’vi people. Much of the film relied on CGI effects, but the theme park version uses audio-animatronics (mechanical objects you can touch), to bring the franchise to life. During a D23 event, the company showed off "The Na’vi River Journey Shaman," which, if you didn't know better, might appear to be a CGI character.

If this is an accurate sample of the entire experience, then the theme park version of Avatar might be as big a hit as the film. The Disney World experience is set to open to the public in 2017.
