Does Avatar still have it? The magic that propelled director James Cameron's 2009 sci-fi epic to record-breaking box office success?

It'll be hard to know for sure before Avatar: The Way of Water, the long-awaited sequel, hits theaters on Dec. 16. But this trailer, which premiered in front of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is now available to watch online. The hype train has officially left the station.

The Way of Water picks up more than a decade after the first movie, continuing the story of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), and their Na'vi family. Don't expect to get too much of a read on the story from this trailer, but it's clear that the planet Pandora's dazzling alien vistas aren't going anywhere in this sequel, which also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet.
