With apologies to the Eagles and the Patriots, the most exciting match-up of the day came in a commercial break during the Super Bowl.
Disney has unveiled the latest trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, which pits our beloved superhero team against Thanos – the giant purple dude from the end credits of the first Avengers in 2012.
He's spent the past dozen or so Marvel movies trying to collect gemstones in the background, and now he's ready to show us just what his giant gold glove can do. (Well, besides make him look like a fashion victim.)
Thanos' appearance compels the Avengers to reunite and to invite all their friends along for the ride – making this one of the largest collections of superheroes ever assembled onscreen. Avengers: Infinity War is in theaters May 4.
