Just ask Awkwafina. Earlier this week she was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, for her role in The Farewell. Chatting to Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday, the actor showed a screenshot of her family's group chat in the days after the news broke.
It was pretty much exactly what you'd expect — with the very glaring exception of Awkwafina's aunt Linda, who decided to send a lengthy paragraph about the dangers of "gluten, grains and beans" instead of a simple "congrats."
