Everyone knows by now not to put Baby in a corner -- in a complete departure from that reference, Baby Driver stars Ansel Elgort as the young driver for a killer cast of criminals, even as he tries to escape their lifestyle.

Elgort plays Baby in this solo feature from Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz), in a cast filled out by Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx and Jon Bernthal. Lily James stars as Baby's love interest Deborah, a sweet girl he meets at a diner and who makes him want to live by the law.

The film debuted at South by South West and is already drawing comparisons to everything from Mad Max to La La Land (by the way, is it a musical? No. No, it's not.). It's packed with high-speed car chases (in the coolest cars imaginable), blaring music and dialogue straight from the heist movies of your dreams.

The trailer even includes a lovably predictable "One more job and I'm done," but at that point you'll be halfway into it and devour the classic cliché. Variety's Peter DeBruge called the film messy but "a blast," and Vulture's Jada Yuan likened it to "blasting your coolest friend’s record collection in your car at 100 mph on the Atlanta freeway while cops close in on all sides."

Baby Driver hits theaters on August 11.
