An orphaned baby sea otter has found a home forever.

The 10-week-old sea pup was discovered stranded on a beach due to strong El Niño waves on Jan. 6, in Caramel, California, where it was rescued by the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Finally, with approval from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the sea otter was flown to Chicago's Shedd Aquarium, where it now leads a happy life.

According to the Shedd Aquarium, the sea otter, named Pup 719, for now, has been adjusting to her new surroundings well. Since she arrived on Jan. 27, she has even graduated from bottle feedings to solid food.

Unfortunately, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service determined that the pup would will not be able to return to the wild because sea otters typically spend up to nine months with their mothers learning how to survive, and Pup 719 only spent a few weeks.

But with constant care and a team of experts, this pup seems to be enjoying her time at the Shedd Aquarium.
