Don't you just hate it when you plan a nice vacation to reconnect with your daughters and then a lion starts terrorizing you? Idris Elba feels your pain.

Elba stars in the upcoming thriller Beast, where he plays the recently widowed Dr. Nate Daniels. He brings his two daughters (Iyana Halley and Leah Sava Jeffries) to a game reserve managed by a family friend (Sharlto Copley) in an attempt to spend more time with them. The sweet getaway quickly goes off the rails when a lion traumatized by poachers begins hunting them. It's going to take everything Nate has to keep his family safe.

Beast hits theaters Aug. 19.
