Tale as old as time, video as camp as you'd expect from live-action Disney.

The eponymous soundtrack centrepiece to the company's remake of their most romantic classic, "Beauty and the Beast" now has a very OTT video clip.

In it, Ariana Grande sings against sparks of electricity and turns herself into a giant taffeta rose, while John Legend sits back, tinkling the ivories as if everything's totally normal.

Think dancing rose petals that evaporate when they spin are high-drama? Just wait until our feminist French heroine and her hirsute, hostage-taking love interest come into the scene for a dance-off.

This remake is turning out to be nothing if not "ever just the same, ever a surprise."
