TV-watching families everywhere loved Lucy. But when her marriage fell apart on primetime, tabloid gossip took over and a dark chapter in old Hollywood history began.

Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, Being the Ricardos chronicles the crumbling partnership of sitcom stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Played by Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem, the iconic wife-and-husband team of the '50s wielded major power in the entertainment industry for six seasons before irreconcilable differences led them to divorce. The film follows a single, critical week during the production of their show, and features J.K. Simmons as William Frawley and Nina Arianda as Vivian Vance (aka Fred and Ethel Mertz).

Being the Ricardos is in theaters Dec. 10 and streaming on Prime Video Dec. 21.
