Billionaire Bill Gates would probably be great on a show where he guessed the prices of real estate and yachts. Groceries for norms? Not so much.

Gates appeared on The Ellen Show on Wednesday, where host and millionaire of the people, Ellen DeGeneres, decided to quiz the tech mogul The Price is Right style. In a segment called "Bill's Grocery Bills," Degeneres had Gates guess the price of everyday objects from the grocery store.

If Gates successfully guesses the price (within a range of $1) of three out of the five products, the audience wins a prize.

For what it's worth, Gates couldn't even recall the last time he stepped foot in a grocery store, but his performance is less than stellar. Gates thought cheap stuff, like Rice-A-Roni and Totino's Pizza Rolls were way more expensive than they actually are, and guessed expensive items, like Tide Pods, are way cheaper than their $19.97 price tag.

It's fun to rip on out-of-touch-billionaire Gates for not knowing how expensive normal people stuff costs, but if you were a billionaire, would you go grocery shopping?

With a little help, the audience was able to secure the prize, which was to return to the show for Ellen's 12 Days of Giveaways. Thanks, Bill.
