'Bill & Ted Face the Music' gets its first totally radical trailer

When we last left Bill S. Preston, "Esquire" and "Ted" Theodore Logan in 1991, things seemed great. They'd righted wrongs, saved the day, and seemed well on their way to making the music that they knew, thanks to time travel, would one day unite all people in peace and harmony.

Well, that day apparently never arrived.

This first trailer for Bill & Ted Face the Music shows us a future in which the two friends group up and... proceeded to do very little. Their music hasn't united anyone, and a floating, robed council of future people isn't happy. So the two hatch a plan: zoom off to the future and steal their humanity-uniting music from themselves.

Will it work? Probably not. But it's a safe bet that things will turn out just fine for these jokers anyway when Bill & Ted Face the Music hits theaters on Aug. 21.
