If you want to get some deep answers out of an interviewee, there are two tried and tested ways to do it: make them eat increasingly spicy wings, or bombard them with confusing either/or questions.

Stephen Colbert is an expert in the latter, but in the clip above Billie Eilish rises to the challenge, sharing her thoughts on everything from the scariest animal (she picks whales because "those motherf***ers are so big") to the best sandwich (a "pesto situation" Eilish's brother Finneas makes for her, even though she's not entirely sure what's in it).
