King Boba would be a great name for a bubble tea place, now that you mention it.

Way back in 2020, Season 2 of The Mandalorian ended with a post credit stinger promising The Book of Boba Fett. Disney+ is almost ready to deliver on that promise, and this first trailer for BOBF (will that stick?) has arrived. In it, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) returns to his Return of the Jedi roots and takes over the late Jabba the Hutt's criminal empire with the help of his fellow, and perhaps former bounty hunter Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen).

Boba wants to be a better ruler of the Tatooine underground than Jabba was, but Star Wars isn't where people to go to find stories about calm, uncomplicated transitions of power. Quite the opposite, actually. So...good luck, Boba and Fennec. We're rooting for you!

The Book of Boba Fett premieres Dec. 29 on Disney+.
