Love high school comedies, but wish they featured more people getting punched in the face? Then Bottoms is the film for you.

One of the buzziest titles to come out of this year's SXSW, Bottoms reunites Shiva Baby director Emma Seligman with star Rachel Sennott, who in turn joins forces with The Bear's scene-stealer Ayo Edebiri. With their powers combined, this trio delivers a bold, bloody, and bizarre parody of a teen sex comedy that sees two unpopular gay high schoolers (Sennott and Edebiri) start a women's self-defense club so they can get closer to their crushes.

But don't just take my word for it — check out the film's wild trailer. You're in for evil jocks, bananas one-liners, and some killer left hooks.

Bottoms hits theaters Aug. 25.
