If you can't seem to get a split playing ten pin bowling, why not just split the ball itself?

That's what Australian stunt group How Ridiculous have done, but instead of just bludgeoning the thing, they've decided to launch the ball from a 45 metre (150 feet) high tower, dropping it on an axe below.

There is a quite a bit of a build-up, a la Mythbusters, but if you skip to about 1:40 in the video -- that's where the magic happens. Prepare to be in the mood to drop things from great heights.*
