Get ready to go deep into the unknown.

In The Late Show's recurring segment "Big Questions with Even Bigger Stars," Stephen Colbert and Brad Pitt laid in a grassy field and exchanged clever nicknames while asking each other profound questions about life.

Colbert and Pitt questioned everything from what existed before our universe and if humans are basically good or evil. According the War Machine star, people are mostly good and kind of chewy.

The pair didn't have all the answers to their questions but at least they spotted a cloud shaped like Sean Spicer.
