Brian Cox and his Succession character — the formidable Logan Roy — have something in common. They were both born in Dundee, Scotland.

Now, if you've watched Succession (if you haven't, what are even doing with your life?!) you'll know that Logan's relationship with his hometown is somewhat complex. And when I say complex, I mean that he hates it.

Cox, who's from Dundee IRL, doesn't feel the same way at all.

"In these circumstances it was the most odd thing because I was playing a man who was going back to his hometown, he didn't want to have anything to do with his hometown," Cox told Jimmy Kimmel.

"Me, in life, I'm perfectly happy with my hometown so it was a bit of a stretch, I had to act! I had to earn my wages! I didn't expect that."

Don't worry, I'm sure Dundonians didn't take it personally.
