We know that actor Ryan Reynolds loves his home country of Canada, but now he knows without a doubt that Canada loves him back.

The actor was a recipient of the extremely wholesome song "Canada Loves You Back" in honor receiving a Governor General's Award in 2021. Canada's own Steven Page sings the song, which brought Reynolds to tears.

The Canadian annual Governor General's Awards are presented to recipients in literature, media, performing arts, and more. Reynolds received the 2021 National Arts Centre Award for distinction in the performing arts.

"Ryan Reynolds is one of Canada’s most beloved and widely recognized actors," his award listing reads. "In a repertoire ranging from TV sitcoms to animated and feature films, he has established himself as a versatile and engaging performer with a charismatic and quirky persona."
