YouTuber Casey Neistat says he's done with social media... on his phone at least.

"I have a bonafide, proper, no sarcasm, proper addiction to social media," Neistat said in his most recent video. "I can't have a conversation, I can't sit through a movie ... I can't drive my car more than a couple of blocks without thumbing through social media."

Calling out his own "mindless scrolling," Neistat said he's been losing time and health while getting stressed out over Instagram and Twitter.

When Neistat's youngest daughter Georgie was born, he took a week-long break from social media to make sure he was "appreciating" his new baby.

"It's hard to articulate the impact it had on me," he said in his video, describing that he didn't necessarily feel happier. "Almost like a burden was lifted off of me... My brain had to focus on fewer things."

Clarifying that he would still check various accounts from his laptop, since he spends "far less time" in front of a computer than on his phone, Neistat concluded the video by deleting social media apps from his phone and leaving for the airport.

"It's been five hours since I deleted the apps from my phone," he said. "So far so good."
