You're cordially invited to Stonebridge Manor for Lena Dunham's directorial endeavour, Catherine Called Birdy. But do not, by any means, bring any form of suitor with you if you don't want a pigeon put on you.

It's 1290 and Lord Rollo (Andrew Scott) sees his and his wife Lady Aislinn's (Billie Piper) teen daughter Lady Catherine aka Birdy (Game of Thrones' Bella Ramsey) as their ticket out of financial destitution. Birdy's not having that at all thank you very much, so she's got a few tricks/punches up her sleeve to dissuade any suitors (including Russell Brand).

Joe Alwyn, Lesley Sharp, Dean Charles Chapman, and Isis Hainsworth make up the cast, and Dunham wrote the screenplay, which seems rather Monty Python-esque in bits if you watch the trailer.

Catherine Called Birdy is streaming on Prime Video Oct. 7.
