Thanks to a hawk-eyed traffic police officer, a disaster was avoided on the roads of Hangzhou, China.

According to CCTV News, said officer had spotted a crack in the middle of the road and his quick-thinking led him to cordon off the area and direct traffic around it

In less than five minutes, sections around the crack started to cave in and left behind a two-metre deep sinkhole.

Just like that, the officer saved the day and drivers on the road continued along their way.
