Chris Wood is a light artist, which means she uses different materials ("anything I can get my hands on") to try and order, manipulate, and morph light. She enables that everyday element of light to unexpectedly enrich people's experiences.

Wood is renowned for her work with dichroic filters, first developed by NASA, which she uses to create sculptures that protract light into controlled rainbows.
