Idiot attempts insane cliff jump, barely makes it out alive
Watch Next

Willfully jumping off a cliff involves a bit of insanity, but this clip takes it to another level.

After running down a ridge just beyond a fence located off a private residence near Crystal Cove in southern California, the jumper briefly sizes up the landing, which can't be seen from his vantage point. Regardless, the anonymous jumper goes for it, unsure if he will hit the rocky cliff below.

Instantly the jumper realizes that he is far too close to the ledge and lets out a shriek of horror. Somehow he manages to angle his body perfectly, and is's able to slip into the water nearly unscathed.

"I walked away from this jump with a minor scrape on my back," the jumper wrote on YouTube. "How? I do not know. All I do know is that I probably wont be attempting this jump any time soon."
