Regular Show, created by J. G. Quintel, is known for being extremely popular with the kids (or at least the cool weird kids). But it doesn't quite reach the level of appeal that has older audiences flocking to other animated series like Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, and Bob's Burgers.

But a sneak peek of Quintel's upcoming TBS series, Close Enough, is definitely out to prove just how adult he can get. The video finds its main characters dealing with parenthood, drug-fueled existentialism, dick jokes, and some nice butt slaps.

With the final season of Adventure Time looming, audiences are scrambling to find another nutty series to fill that Finn-shaped hole in their hearts. And, from the looks of this early trailer, Close Enough could be a contender.
