Scrape the image of a pyjama-clad demon Caplan from my brain and frame it in my nightmares forever.

Personally, I wouldn't mind being terrorised by a demonic Lizzy Caplan.

You might not believe me after watching the Cobweb trailer, however, which sees the Masters of Sex and Fleishman Is in Trouble star take a terrifying turn into horror.

Directed by Marianne's Samuel Bodin and written by the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 reboot's Chris Thomas Devlin, Cobweb establishes your classic creepy-kid-with-an-invisible-friend-only-revealed-through-freaky-drawings supernatural horror. But it seems the hauntings are closer to home than it seems, as Peter's (Woody Norman) parents (Lizzy Caplan and The Boys' Antony Starr) doth protest too much about the incessant tapping coming from within his bedroom walls.

The only hope? Infinity Pool's Cleopatra Coleman as Peter's teacher.

Scrape the image of a pyjama-clad demon Caplan from my brain and frame it in my nightmares forever.

How to watch: Cobweb is in cinemas July 21.
