A chaotic first few days of the Donald Trump administration has left much of the country reeling.

But late night host Stephen Colbert still managed to draw some laughs on Monday when talking about the new leadership. "He really got a lot of stuff undone," he quipped about the new president's marathon of executive orders.

And he had a pretty interesting description for what it's like living under the new administration, whose first days have been tumultuous to say the least.

"Every day you just get right back on the roller coaster and start throwing up," said. "We got the fast pass."

Colbert also tore into Trump's travel ban by unleashing a series of witty takes on the policy and its real-life effects, the massive protests against it, and the man who some say is behind it all -- former Breitbart editor and alt-right leader Stephen Bannon, or as Colbert likes to call him, "the handsomest guy in the liquor store."

Those weren't his harshest words for Bannon, though. He also had a stinging rebuke for the presidential adviser's comments about JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit.

Watch out for the book nerds, Bannon.
