Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback turned social justice activist Colin Kaepernick unites heavy hitters like Dr. Angela Davis, actress and activist Yara Shahidi, transgender actor Indya Moore, and others in an impactful video highlighting Kaepernick's Know Your Rights Camp, which he started in 2016.

The camp empowers black and brown youth communities across the United States by teaching them their rights when interacting with law enforcement as well as providing opportunities to trade stories of hope and resilience. Ten fundamental human rights — a tribute to the Black Panther Party's 10-Point Platform and Program, Paper Magazine reports — forming the backbone of the camp ideology are revealed at the end of the video.

In the video, Moore repeats the phrase that they have a right to life, a vitally important statement given that trans women of color have an average life expectancy of 35 years.

Kaepernick interviewed many featured in the video, each article hitting upon one of the camp's fundamental rights, and guest-edited the piece about himself for Paper.

The full line-up of people in the video include the five men falsely accused of rape in the infamous "Central Park Five" case, Taraji P. Henson, Yara Shahidi, Tarana Burke, Indya Moore, Eric Reid, Dr. Angela Davis, Bryan Stevenson, and Nessa.
