Are you surprised Lifetime already has a made-for-the-network movie about the college admissions scandal aka Operation Varsity Blues? It's called The College Admissions Scandal (ha) and it follows the story of the 50 people accused of paying their children's ways into the nation's elite colleges and universities.

Like the news coverage surrounding the scandal, The College Admissions Scandal focuses on the scamming of two prominent women, portrayed by Penelope Ann Miller and Mia Kirshner. Although neither of the lead female roles are explicitly named Felicity Huffman or Lori Loughlin, Michael Shanks portrays the corrupt college admissions consultant, Rick Singer, directly.

The College Admissions Scandal premieres on Lifetime on Oct. 12.
