It may not be a movie, but we are finally getting a Community reunion event next week. The entire main cast recently got together over video chat to do a table read of a Season 5 episode, which will be available on May 18.

While Chevy Chase didn't take part, having exited the show in famously messy circumstances, all the rest of the show's famous faces returned: Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong, creator Dan Harmon, and yes, Donald Glover, whose post-Community rise was easily the most meteor-esque.

Afterward, the gang stuck around to reminisce about being on a show so far down NBC's list of priorities there was a possum in the prop room for a while, and also to roast their now mega-famous friend. At one point, Pudi recalls realising Glover was going to be huge after his co-star played him his 2011 single "Heartbeat." "'Oh shit, you're gone,'" Pudi recalls thinking while listening to the song in Glover's car. "'You're really good!'"

"Can you imagine if Donald's music was really crappy but he was just as passionate?" jokes McHale.

"I wouldn't be here [on the call] because I would be like, 'You guys weren't my real friends,'" says Glover.

The gang also tease Brie about her long-running work with Netflix, roast Jeong every time he brings up his eponymous sitcom Dr. Ken, share which episodes make them cry, and accidentally reveal the existence of a cast group chat that doesn't include Glover.

"We assumed you'd be too busy!" exclaims a mortified Brown.
