In what is simultaneously the most exciting and saddest turn of events, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is back on The CW right now for its final season. And on Friday, the fourth season's second episode introduced an all-new theme song.

For those who might be in the dark: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is an underwatched masterpiece. It's a musical comedy -- something we don't see too often on TV -- that follows the exploits of a young lawyer named Rebecca Bunch.

The story is a tough one to sum up. In the very first episode, Rebecca runs into an old flame on the streets of New York City, then proceeds to move to his hometown on a whim. The unfolding story justifies this apparent deeply problematic life choice by painting Rebecca as a complex individual who's defined by much, much more than this guy she once crushed on.

The Season 4 intro song leans in on that idea, running through the many faces, moods, and emotions of Rebecca before settling on the idea that -- like most people who are actual humans, not characters in a written story -- "she's too hard to summarize."

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend airs on The CW every Friday at 9:00 p.m.
