Like it or not, Mel Gibson is back.

One of the big storylines to come out of this year's awards race was Gibson's apparent return to Hollywood's good graces, with his latest directorial effort Hacksaw Ridge making a surprisingly strong showing at the Oscars.

Now he's here to show off his comedy chops in Daddy's Home 2, playing the hyper-masculine father to Mark Wahlberg. He butts heads with John Lithgow, who plays Will Ferrell's father.

Basically, Gibson and Lithgow are here to recreate Wahlberg and Ferrell's dynamic from the first movie, since the latter are getting along just fine now.

Will the daddies' daddies learn to get along? Are we as a society ready to embrace Mel Gibson again? How long will it take Wahlberg and Ferrell's characters to figure out how mirrors work?

All those questions and more will be answered when Daddy's Home 2 arrives in theaters November 10.
