The whole saga of Roseanne Barr's gross, racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a former aide of President Barack Obama, continues to unfold and, thankfully, we have the likes of Trevor Noah at The Daily Show to help us make sense of it all.

In this clip from Wednesday night, Noah breaks down exactly how Fox News, which is quick to cry "political correctness!" during incidents like this, couldn't muster a defense of Roseanne, even as it made for hilariously awkward television.

And Noah couldn't let Roseanne's Ambien excuse go unnoticed, unleashing one of the show's typically pointed parody ads that winds up sounding a lot like the statement put out Wednesday morning by the company that makes the drug, all proving that the line between parody and reality is getting blurrier every single day.
