Trevor Noah 'officially fires' Michelle Wolf from 'The Daily Show' after her White House Correspondents' Dinner speech

It's not much of a firing since Michelle Wolf doesn't work there anymore, but still funny.

Host Trevor Noah "officially fired" Michelle Wolf from The Daily Show last night after her controversial White House Correspondents' Dinner speech dominated the last few news cycles.

Gleefully, Noah broke down what exactly was so incendiary about her monologue, saying she "should've had the decency not to comment on a woman's appearance in any way, shape or form. She's a comedian for God's sake. Not the president."

And to prove his point, he fake fired Wolf, who worked as a writer and contributor for The Daily Show from April 2016 to December of last year.

Noah then rolled a montage of some of Trump's worst comments against women, saying, "Now that's how you insult a woman... Joking is only an excuse when its coming from the president."

Noah also shows a clip of Sarah Huckabee Sanders telling the press they should even get a sense of humor. But where was that sense of humor at the White House Correspondents Dinner?

In response to the backlash, Michelle Wolf went on NPR's Fresh Air on Monday, and said, “I wanted to do something different. I didn’t want to cater to the room. I wanted to cater to the outside audience, and not betray my brand of comedy."

Good for you, Michelle Wolf. Now that she doesn't work at The Daily Show anymore, can she please do this every day, all day, so we can keep watching Trump officials and journalists hilariously contradict themselves?
