What exactly is Project 2025? Well in Daily Show host Desi Lydic's words, it's "essentially a blueprint for transforming the government from a neutral bureaucracy to a conservative death star."

In the clip above Lydic breaks down some of the Project 2025 training videos published recently by ProRepublica, including a clip of a man saying the group doesn't want people in the administration who've been convicted of a crime or been declared bankrupt.

"Yeah, we'd hate to have fraudsters and tax evaders work for the Trump administration," says Lydic. "You might want to run this up the chain to the boss, because it's starting to feel person. No tax evasion, no bankruptcy, no weird hairstyles, no-one who had a cameo in Home Alone 2, and definitely nobody who constantly brings up Hannibal Lecter like it's a real person."
