The Hunger Games gets a small-town monster movie spin in the trailer for David Slade's Dark Harvest, which sees young men donning masks each Halloween and competing in a dangerous contest to hunt down a local legend.

Based on Norman Partridge's novel of the same name, the tradition involves trying to kill "Sawtooth Jack" – a creature that stalks the corn fields – before the church bell rings at midnight. But is there more to the whole thing than it seems?

Dark Harvest is available digitally from Oct. 13.
