Leave it to Deadpool to hide yet another famous mutant in plain sight.

A bonus feature included with the home release of Deadpool 2 reveals that classic X-Men villain Omega Red was among the mutants held at the Ice Box prison alongside Wade and Russell – but in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo, so don't beat yourself up if you failed to spot him.

In the comics, Omega Red, a.k.a. Arkady Gregorivich Rossovich, is a mutant serial killer transformed by the Soviet government into a cyborg super soldier with retractable metal tentacles.

In the movie, he's played by Dakoda Shepley, a New York Jets guard who apparently enjoyed playing chess between takes. The clip above goes beyond the scenes to offer a better look at the character and the man who plays him.

Shepley, thankfully, does not seem nearly as evil or menacing as the character he portrays. But he's not above a bit of low-key savagery either. When, after a few chess moves, the interviewer admits he can't actually play, Shepley laughs. "I can tell," he says.

Brutal stuff, man.

The "Super Duper $@%!#&" cut of Deadpool 2 is available on digital Aug. 7, and on Blu-ray / DVD / 4K UHD Aug. 21.
