If you thought a metal version of French national anthem La Marseillaise would never rock the country's presidential palace grounds, you would be wrong.

President Emanuel Macron recently welcomed YouTubers McFly and Carlito to his stunning home for a chat, some games, and — the main event — a private concert by French death metal band Ultra Vomit. The YouTubers posted a video of the visit Sunday.

The video came about thanks to a bet. In February, at the beginning of a coronavirus surge in the country, Macron challenged the duo to make a video promoting social distancing measures. The president said he would allow the pair to film their next video at his Elysee palace if the video got over 10 million views.

The video passed the 10 million mark in days. It currently has over 15 million views.

Making good on his promise, Macron allowed the YouTubers to film a trivia show with Macron himself in the palace. At around the 30 minute mark in the 36 minute long video, the president, McFly, and Carlito take a stroll through the garden to a stage with three folding chairs in front of it. They watch a performance by Ultra Vomit, who opens their set with the first few bars of La Marseillaise with a thrasher twist. Then, the band plays a death metal version of french lullaby "A Green Mouse," according to Reuters.

McFly and Carlito mosh and dance around, while Macron looks mostly bemused.

Rock on, Macron. Rock on.
