The internet is filled with spooky videos of deep sea creatures sure to make your skin crawl. But this deep sea encounter is defying the creepy crawly genre, thanks in large part to its uniquely joyful commentary rivaling that of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Do yourself a favor and listen to these three scientists delight in an Atlantic Midshipman pop out of its dwelling to attack another fish, while quill worms and a lone snail bare witness.

The excited trio can barely contain their laughter while describing the events they're observing, particularly when discussing the presumably startled snail.

The bizarrely cheerful deep sea encounter was captured by NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research during a diving excursion 25 miles from Pea Island in North Carolina on June 30. And honestly, we're hoping to see some more goofy deep sea videos in the future.
