That's a lot of tentacles.

Welcome to Disney's Strange World, a place full of tentacle monsters, walking cliffsides, and sentient jelly-like blobs. The intriguing new environment at the heart of Disney's upcoming animation film looks like something out of a Jules Verne novel: a sci-fi wonderland just waiting to be explored.

The teaser — which opens like a tribute to mid-20th century adventure movies — introduces us to a crew of explorers flying into uncharted territory. Among the crew is Searcher Clade (voiced by Jake Gyllenhaal), the son of a renowned explorer. However, as he tells us in the trailer, Searcher is a farmer instead of an explorer, and he feels like he's in way over his head. Good luck to Searcher and the rest of his companions. Looks like they're going to need it.

Strange World premieres Nov. 23.
