After Stephen Strange's critical, reality-breaking role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the hype for the good doctor's sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has never been bigger.

Or it was, until this new trailer explicitly connected the Doctor's standalone struggles with the MCU Disney+ hit WandaVision. Even though we knew (and guessed) that Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch was in the movie to search for the sons she created and destroyed in her Westview hex, the new footage confirms that Billy and Tommy will appear in some kind of reality — dreaming or otherwise. As Marvel Studios transforms the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse, exciting Disney+ show and theatrical film tie-ins will only become more common. Doesn't make it any less cool when it happens for the first time!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes to theaters May 6.
