It's hardly a surprise that dogs can help humans feel happier.

But could your heart be in sync with your canine companion? Perhaps so, if this touching advertisement by dog food manufacturer Pedigree is to be believed. The company monitored the heart rates of three dogs and their humans, and found they began to mirror each other when in close proximity. We're not saying it's science, just that it's cute.

The project is also to raise funds for Pet Rescue, with owners who share their stories and photos with the hashtag #HeartsAligned on social media to trigger a A$1 donation, up to a maximum of A$20,000.

Still, it would be interesting to see the heart rates of the owners when they find their dogs have ripped up all their pillows. They would be wildly out of sync then -- just a guess.

Anyway, we didn't mean to stress you out. Just bask in the video's fuzzy feelings.
