It's White House tradition for the president and first lady to hand out candy to costumed trick-or-treaters, and with Halloween only days away the time has once again come.

On Monday, Donald and Melania emerged from a decorated White House to the Addams Family theme song. They stood on an orange carpet for around 40 minutes and handed out giant Hershey's chocolate bars and other goodies to children in costumes.

Kids of varying ages dressed like police officers, video game characters, Marvel heroes, dinosaurs, and more attended the exclusive event. Although you can't hear the dialogue in the video it's still worth watching. There's a dramatic soundtrack filled with spooky songs to keep you entertained, and some moments that don't require words to appreciate.

At around 25 minutes, for example, the president and first lady can be seen messing with a poor child who's wearing an inflatable Minion costume from Despicable Me. The kid walks up to receive some candy, but instead of handing it to him or placing it in his pumpkin basket, Trump bizarrely decides to pat the Minion on the head with the candy and place it on top of the costume. Melania unsurprisingly follows her husband's lead, and the two bars proceed to slide off the child's costume and onto the ground. OK????

If you're in the mood to witness more awkward Halloween moments be sure to watch the entire video above.
