Young Ruby was practicing her swing on the Magenta Shores Golf Course in New South Wales, Australia, earlier this week, when things took an interesting turn.

The 8-year-old golf champ's training sesh was being filmed by a drone. The owner of which was her uncle, creative director of the website DRONEGEAR, Alex Kavanagh. As he told Mashable via email, his drone "got a bit lower than I should have and looked away for a second," and next minute, the drone was down.

Although it was an accident, the injuries the drone sustained only serve as a testament to Ruby's talent. The YUNEEC Typhoon H copped a broken leg, a broken boom on its arms, two broken propellers and a semi-twisted camera.

"We loved this drone," said Kavanagh. "It's got to go in for repairs, but will be back up and running and staying clear of those golf balls next time!"

Meanwhile, look out Jason Day and Jiyai Shin -- Ruby Kavanagh is coming for your golfing crown. She's already number one in the country for her age group. Not hard to see why.
