The Bene Gesserit are embroiled in an Imperium-wide conflict in the latest trailer for Dune: Prophecy.

Taking place over 10,000 years before the events of Dune, Dune: Prophecy dives into the early days of the Bene Gesserit order. Here, sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen (played by Chernobyl's Emily Watson and The Crown's Olivia Williams) work to shape the path of the Imperium from the shadows, eventually hoping to place a Bene Gesserit sister on the throne. Of course, many challenges lay ahead for these sisters, including mysterious soldier Desmond Hart (Travis Fimmel, Boy Swallows Universe), who seeks to eliminate all traces of the Bene Gesserit from the Imperium.

Aside from giving us glimpses of Dune: Prophecy's plot, the new trailer is jam-packed with details that will send Dune fans into a frenzy. From uses of the Voice to a flashback to the Butlerian Jihad against all thinking machines to the always legendary sandworms, Dune: Prophecy looks like a promising return to Frank Herbert's universe.

Dune: Prophecy premieres Nov. 17 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and Max.
