The echidna may be famous for its cute babies (called "puggles") and its plethora of spikes, but did you know echidna's can swim too?

Turns out they love a quick dip in the ocean as much as the next Australian -- a fact witnessed by YouTube user Jamie Finn in a recent video.

According to Parks Tasmania, the monotreme is in fact a really good swimmer. It's been seen to "cross wide beaches to swim and groom themselves in the sea."
