Ellen surprises teacher with $10,000 to help treat sick pit bull

Jen Marion's second graders set up a lemonade stand to help ease the medical bills for her pit bull, Pearl, who suffers from a severe digestive disorder. But it doesn't hurt to have some help from Ellen DeGeneres, too.

Ellen invited Marion and her fiance, Jim Raschella, to Tuesday's Ellen to talk about her students' generosity, which made the Internet cry thousands of collective tears earlier this month.

Marion sang the praises of her generous students. "They're so wonderful," she said.

But this is Ellen we're talking about, so a heartwarming surprise was just around the corner — in the form of $10,000 to help cover Pearl's medical expenses.

And maybe also get her a second fashionable pair of pink sunglasses?
