It turns out that a group of emus is called a mob, so, it's accurate to say this family was mobbed by a bunch emus.

Angela Maresca has been taking her family across the country to explore the United States. After renting a car in Arkansas, the family headed to Eagle Rock, Missouri, and visited the Promised Land Zoo, where the emu encounter occurred.

Being from New York City, Maresca told Storyful she wanted her children to experience middle America, but emu traffic was clearly an issue they didn't see coming.
