Once news broke about the Mandalay Bay Las Vegas shooting, trolls began to tweet out fake news. People were using a photo of Sam Hyde holding a gun and labeling him as the shooter.

This isn't the first time we've seen his photo misattributed to mass shootings. Photos of fake victims were also circulating Twitter.

When asked why one particular troll tweeted the fake photo, he said it was for the retweets with a happy face. Always fact check!
